If you’re looking for a relaxing way to improve the appearance and health of your skin, facials should be a regular part of your skin care routine. When you visit Aesthetic Assets for a facial, your aesthetician performs a brief but thorough skin analysis to determine the best treatment for your skin tone and type. During the treatment, they cleanse your pores, remove dead skin cells, and apply a clay or hydrating mask. Many facials also include a massage.
Not only will a facial improve your skin’s health and texture, it’s also relaxing and a great way to pamper yourself. Facials should be a regular part of your skin maintenance routine.
Most facials take about an hour. First, Pam or Stacey evaluates your skin and discusses the ideal products for you. Most facials include the following steps:
Pam or Stacey gently cleanses your skin, removing any residual traces of makeup and dirt.
During the second stage of your facial, Pam or Stacey uses an exfoliating cream or scrub to remove dead skin cells. Then, they apply steam to open up your pores.
With the pores now open, it’s much easier to remove blackheads and acne. Typically, extractions like these are done with a metal tool, but they can also be done by hand.
Not only is a facial massage relaxing, it also helps the lymphatic system drain the materials extracted from your face.
Pam or Stacey may apply a clay mask to treat oiliness or a hydrating mask to moisturize your skin. Masks are typically left on for about 10-20 minutes. Your treatment concludes with an application of serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
At Aesthetic Assets, Pam and Stacey offer the intensive Fire and Ice Facial, designed by iS Clinical®. This facial not only provides a deep clean, but also resurfaces your skin and reduces fine lines and wrinkles, brightening and tightening your complexion.
The “fire” portion of this facial involves a mask made of retinol, vitamin B3, antioxidants, and other ingredients that help resurface your skin. The mask smells like cinnamon and often produces a warm tingling sensation.
After fire comes “ice,” a soothing mask containing hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, Japanese tea extracts, and other natural elements.
After only an hour, your skin will feel tighter and firmer, with a youthful glow. It’s no wonder that the Fire and Ice Facial is sometimes referred to as “The Red Carpet Facial,” and is among the most popular facials in Hollywood.
