What is Juvederm® Voluma?
This injectable dermal filler is part of the Juvederm® line of hyaluronic acid-based injectable dermal fillers and is formulated with the same VYCROSS® technology used in Volbella® and Vollure®. Voluma® is specifically designed to restore volume that has been lost with age to the midface and cheek areas and is the only dermal filler that is FDA-approved for injection into the midface area.

What can I expect during an injection session?
We will use a fine needle to inject Voluma® into the designated treatment area. Voluma® is formulated with lidocaine to decrease any discomfort experienced during an injection session, and an additional topical numbing cream can be applied to the treatment area prior to the injection. Injection sessions typically last between 30 and 45 minutes and there is little to no downtime associated with this treatment. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately following an injection session. Multiple injection sessions may be required in order to achieve your desired results.
How long will my results last?
Voluma® is FDA-approved to correct midface volume loss for up to two years. Results may vary from patient to patient.
Are there any side effects?
Some patients may experience some mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, itching, discoloration or pain at the injection site. These side effects are temporary and typically resolve on their own. Most side effects subside within a week of an injection session.
